Vivo T3 Ultra: Neue Marke Vivo is playing in the field again with the T3 Ultra, a phone that wants to be both mid-range and premiun. Now, the T series has always been the budget series, but the T3 Ultra has remarkably more muscle to it than you’d imagine from a phone like this.
Design & Build: Sleek With a Dash of Style
As soon as you get your hands on the Vivo T3 Ultra, it’s not is it doesn’t shout “budget” at you. It quite literally feels like a next-level device. The phone has a glass back which subtly refracts light in a shiny, metallic way. The camera module is huge but neatly integrated and the curved sides help with grip as well.
The profile is also slim, at just around 8mm, and the weight is easy to bear, despite the larger battery. It comes in nice finishes too, such as Aurora Blue and Titan Grey — the latter does well to enhance its high-end feel.
Screen: Vibrant, Flawless, and Big
The 6.78-inch AMOLED screen that provides full HD+ resolution is front and center. Colours are punchy, blacks are deep, and there’s plenty of brightness for using it in direct sun. Where there is real value is the 120Hz refresh rate — scrolling and animations feel pulpy, and gaming even that bit sleeker.
The display also features HDR10+ which is quite rare at this price. But no matter how you use it, when catching up on your favorite TV shows or high-end games, it’s a treat to use.
Performance: Fast Enough, for the Most Part
Under the hood, the T3 Ultra is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8050 SoC coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. That’s all solid hardware, and it functions just fine in daily use.
Apps don’t take long to open and switching between them is smooth, with even demanding games such as Call of Duty: Mobile running with high settings effortlessly. Vivo’s Funtouch OS 14, which is based on Android 14, seems less bloated than before, with less pre-installed apps and better UI responsiveness.
It’s certainly not a gaming powerhouse, but most users won’t experience any slowdown, even under light duty.
Camera System: Good Enough and a Good Surpriselling Point When taking its price into consideration, Camerawise, it took me by surprise.
Around the back, you’ll find a 64MP primary sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), a 2MP depth sensor, and that 16MP selfie camera.
Its rear camera takes sharp daylight shots, with a high degree of dynamic range and accurate colours. Low-light performance is satisfactory, credits to OIS and Vivo’s software optimisation.
Portrait shots actually look pretty good with decent edge detection but the depth sensor doesn’t appear to add all that much beyond marketing impact. The 16MP front facing camera captures close to natural skin tones and performs well in bright and low light.
Video tops out at 4K 30fps, and stabilization is decent for the kind of casual content that the S20+ is expected to record.
Battery & Charging We Have Nothing to Complain About
The T3 Ultra sports a 5,000mAh battery, which easily gets it through a day of mixed usage. Regardless of whether you’re streaming, browsing, or snapping a few photos, the battery won’t give up before bedtime.
Charging up the phone is quick as well – the phone comes with 80W FlashCharge, so it can go from 0 to 100% in less than 40 minutes. This is a real lifesaver when you’re pressed for time.

Vivo T3 Ultra Final Verdict
The Vivo T3 Extreme is no pushover in the mid range market. It has a stunning screen, fast charging, tight design and accomplished performance.
It’s not perfect (we miss an ultrawide lens a little, I guess), but most phone owners would be pretty content with what they get from this device, considering the cost.
It’s a competent Android phone and if you’re in the market for a stylish phone that won’t cost you the Earth the T3 Ultra is well worth a look.
