Vivo T3x 5G: Performance tends to be one of the first things to go in the budget smartphone sector. But Vivo’s T-series, particularly with the new Vivo T3x 5G, seeks to turn that around.
Loaded with powerful processing, a huge battery and 5G connectivity, this phone is for the folks who desire a bit more muscle in their daily driver — but who don’t have the bankroll to empty.
This is where the T3x 5G from Tecno enters the picture as a reasonably priced mid-ranger for gamers, students, or for that matter working professionals who are in search of fast and reliable hardware but with a low budget. But let’s examine in greater detail what this device does well — and where it should be better.
THE BOLD, YOUNG LOOK THAT CATCHES THE EYE
There is nothing even remotely cheap about the Vivo T3x 5G from the moment you set your hands on it. It features a clean design with a glossy finish and bold color choices including Celestial Green and Crimson Red that really stand out.
With its flat-edge design it looks moddish, while for a phone with such a huge battery the weight is quite manageable.
Despite being plastic, the build quality is solid, and the side-mounted fingerprint sensor is quick and responsive. It even offers IP64 water and dust resistance as a bonus, not something you often find in this range.
A little jagged at times Smooth enough for the price
The T3x 5G features a 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. This is a big plus — scrolling is fluid, and animations are smooth, even when gaming or switching between apps. It’s not AMOLED quality, but the panel offers good brightness and contrast that can be enjoyed whether you are indoors or outside at about 650 nits.
The bezels are quite thin, and the punch-hole camera contributes towards the modern look. For bingewatchers and light gamers, itll handle your needs just fine.
Performance: The Standout Moment Here
And this is where the T3x 5G starts to really score points for itself. It’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset – a heady 6nm processor, and a powerful performer that’s eons above the phones in its price range (most of which we’ve found struggling to do daily tasks). It is backed by 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage which is more than capable of multitasking and gaming.
If you’re editing CapCut videos, playing BGMI on medium, switching between Instagram and Chrome, the phone doesn’t slow down. There’s also a large RAM support, dedicating up to 8GB RAM for virtual memory.
5G + Software Experience
The Vivo T3x comes with 5G bands, to ensure steady and enjoy faster connectivity in select regions. This does make it future-proof, particularly if you want to hold onto your phone for a year or two more.
It’s running Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14, and while Funtouch OS still has a lot of bloatware (much of which can be uninstalled), Vivo has iteratively made the interface somewhat better. The phone feels light, responsive and relatively clean out of the box.
Camera: Getting the Job Done Without Flashiness
The cameras are basic — you get an 50MP main sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. During the day, the pictures are fine, with natural colors and decent dynamic range. Edge detection is solid with portraits and I find the AI scene optimization helpful.
The front-facing 8MP selfie camera is not bad, but it does like to soften images under artificial light. There’s not an ultra-wide or macro lens, so photo enthusiasts might be disappointed, but for the casual user, it should be fine.
Battery Life That Impresses
The T3x 5G has a heavy 6000mAh battery from Vivo on board, which is one of the most powerful in its class. Heavy users, even, can slate over a day of usage before having to grab for a charger again. And when you do need to fill up, the 44W fast charging means you’ll be on 50% again within about 30 minutes.

Vivo T3x 5G Final Verdict
The Vivo T3x 5G is one of the most powerful phone in this under ₹ 15,000 price range. With its high-performance processor, long battery life and excellent screen, it’s a great fit for students, gamers and power users who don’t want to be robbed blind.
It might not have the top camera or the best audio, but if what you want is raw horsepower under the hood and all-day battery life, this is the phone you want — and then some.
For anyone in the market for a future-proof budget 5G phone that doesn’t scrimp where it matters most, the T3x 5G is a no-brainer.
